The pen is mightier than the sword – but only if you wield it well. A solid appellate practice requires strong research skills and the ability to craft a concise and persuasive argument. And when the opportunity arises, counsel must possess poise and presence in the courtroom to give effective oral argument. Ruebel & Quillen was founded by a former law review member and clerk to a Colorado Supreme Court Justice. We enjoy appellate practice as much as trial and have collectively applied our passion for research and the written word to more than two dozen appellate briefs on behalf of clients and as amicus curiae in the Colorado Court of Appeals and Colorado Supreme Court.
