The Colorado General Assembly convened on January 13, 2016 and hundreds of bills have already been introduced. Ten business bills were introduced on the first day alone. We are also expecting another attempt at construction defect litigation reform and a bill affecting the appraisal process just to name a few. Once again, Ruebel & Quillen, LLC will be closely monitoring the activity down at the Capitol as Casey Quillen is the Colorado Defense Lawyers Legislative Committee Chair. Jeff Ruebel is once again on the CDLA Legislative Committee and will surely spend some time testifying in chambers. We will be posting frequent updates on our blog, as well as through our LinkedIn profiles so check in often. The Colorado Defense Lawyers have partnered with BillTrack50 this year and will have an active widget on the CDLA homepage if you want to follow along.
